For Autism Awareness Month, we had the chance to sit down with Trinity Brizendine, one of the newest artists on Drifa’s Leap. And before we go any further, we want to say this clearly: This interview is just a glimpse of Trinity. Not the whole of who she is, not the full scope of what she can do, just one moment, one conversation, one piece of a much bigger story. Because like any artist, Trinity is more than a label.

Every artist has a moment when curiosity quietly turns into something bigger. For Melissa, the artist behind Tangible Daydreams, that moment began at a garage sale in the late 1990s.

For over 20 years, Dustin Schmidt has been weaving rings into chains, armor, and surprisingly heavy dice bags, all sparked by irritation at Hollywood pop-tab mail. A self-described craftsperson and SCA fighter, he brings methodical precision, tactile joy, and a healthy dose of irreverent humor to every piece.

We’re proud to announce a major milestone for our community: Drifa’s Leap is now officially live in Canada.
