Old World Traditional arts are my jam. Working with hand tools to create my art brings joy and happiness to myself and my collectors. I work with Gems, metals, leather and wood in various techniques all of which are firmly rooted in medieval art forms. My Mother owned art galleries in the greater Frankfurt area of then West Germany and hence, I grew up with a vast trove of artists and all they do and it became a lifestyle and ongoing passion. Adapting tooling and materials to do something new and putting a different spin and twist to Jewelry is a great adventure and I am so happy you are here to see it unfold and share my curiosity to see what is possible. My painted Jewels are leftover gold leaf from illumination and calligraphy work and the outlines of the designs are literally painted with cat whiskers as my brushes were not fine enough to get the results I wanted to see.
