Combining art and practicality, this 100% wool hot pad is great for protecting your hands while you stir hot pots over the stove or cook over open flame. The center is built up with extra material to protect your hands while you pull hot pans from the oven.

The grippy design has pockets on the back to protect your fingers and thumb from accidental contact with hot surfaces.

Our sustainable wool hot pads have original needle felted designs. They’re then wet felted in a washing machine to lock the fibers together into a solid fabric.

Unscented: All of our hot pads are machine washed and dried with unscented detergent and no fabric softener or dryer sheets.

Cat-approved: These pads are made in a house with a cat. He loves to sit on the projects while I work on them, so the shop can’t guarantee our hot-pads are cat fur free. I do machine wash them before storing them, though, so they should be dander free.

Care: To keep this hot pad exactly the same after washing, surface wash and dry flat.

What happens if your hot pad accidentally gets tossed into the wash?

It may warp or twist – a good steam iron will straighten it back out.

Some of the fibers – particularly on hot pads that have curly sheep locks – may come up. You can snip the loose ends off, felt them back down with a felting needle, or contact the shop for help in restoring the piece.
