This tiny bird is ready to welcome spring with a small nest in a secure location! This hat is a world onto itself, with much exploring to be done. With small metal leaves and felted stones in the brim, and a trailing vine. It also features a small wood tuned acorn that can be unscrewed... what you put in there is up to you. Meds? Birdseed? Wildflower seeds? A tiny love note?
This hat is built on top of a Stacy Adams XL bowlers hat. This means this hat is a size 7 1/2 to 7 5/8, which is approximately a head circumference of approximately 23 1/2 to 23 7/8 inches. If you have trouble finding a hat big enough, this one might be for you. If your hair could scare River Tam into hiding in a conduit, it might support a smaller head circumference and still hold up the hat.
My hats are a combination of wet and needle felted art, embroidered, embellished, and enjoyable to wear. They look great in photos, but they look magical when you wear them.
Each one is different, and created to suit the hat as it goes. I add moss, embroidery, beads, lichen, wood, miniatures, creatures, roots, vines, leaves... letting the hat lead me as it is being crafted.
Hats come with a care kit. And while I'm confident in the durability for general use... children, dogs, packing accidents happen. You can mail your hat back to me for repair for the cost of return shipping if necessary.
My hats are made with a variety of fiber and product types but are not recommended if you are allergic to wool or other animal fibers.
