This necklace was made using carnelian beads, freshwater pearls, and bronze wire. It measures 19 7/8 inches long, and closes with a handcrafted hook and eye clasp, based on ancient Roman examples of necklaces of this style.

The bronze is uncoated/untreated and will develop a patina with age and wear, and may react with some cosmetics or environments. That said, it is solid bronze wire and polishes up beautifully.
