This mug was thrown on my potter's wheel and then carved by hand as an original design. I do not use any stencils or patterns, it's all done freehand. This mug design was inspired by the Celtic knotwork from the "Book of Kells.

The mug is made of stoneware clay, glazed with a foodsafe glaze I made myself. It is 4 inches tall and holds a good 11 oz. of cold or hot liquid. The handle is large, sturdy, and gives a friendly, well balanced feel when held in the hand.
