I made this wheel-thrown mug with the inspiration of mugs of the 13th Century and up through the Renaissance. But it would be also as useful and attractive in a modern kitchen or office space as it would at a Medieval event.
The design is sprigged lines, and stamped, a Medieval design.
Made with high-fire stoneware and non-lead glaze, green with an uneven application, typical of glazing of the era. It is also sturdy, stable, and safe for liquids of your choice. The handle is large, comfortable to grasp, and well-attached. It is 5" tall and holds 15 oz. of your favorite Beverage.
My reference for this work was "Surry Whiteware" by Pearce and Vince.
