Description

This is a new, handcrafted Glass Wampum Belt made of white & cobalt glass beads, deerskin leather lacing, and bison leather.  Each bead is woven onto lacing using sturdy cotton-blend thread.  Belt is finished with bison leather end tabs.

Wampum belts were traditionally used by Native tribes of the eastern U.S. to commemorate treaties or record messages.  This belt is adapted from a historical design dating back to the French & Indian War.
