This is a new choker-style necklace made of striking dark purple & ivory glass wampum beads hand-woven onto deerskin lacing & finished with dark red glass padre beads   Choker measures approx 8" × 1.5" of beadwork and 30" overall.  It can be slipped over the head and adjusted to size by sliding the padre beads on the lacing. 

Wampum originated amongst the indigenous peoples in eastern North America.  This traditional style of beadwork is documented back to the 17th century.  Feel free to ask questions.  Thank you for looking!
