This plate was done after a ceramic plate from the Fatimid Dynasty. My version was painted in cobalt blue. All of the art on this plate, from the thrown plate to all of the drawing and decorating was done by my hand. 

The plate is high-fired stoneware, so it is functional, or it can be a show piece  It is 8 in. in diameter. It can go in the microwave or dishwasher. Although it is always a recommendation to handwash pottery.
