The elastic band can be worn around the wrist or hung from a belt or keychain, and may be black or brown, depending on availability. Measures 6" long by 2"wide. Made of 14ga mild steel. Burnished smooth and treated with a polyurethane coating. Nickel-free. All of my chains are made completely from scratch. I start with plain wire, which I turn into rings with equipment I designed and built myself. Final products are tumbled with polyurethane and wax for a durable, water-resistant finish. I'm a one-man operation (though I do have a dog who assists by making funny noises and smells) operating out of an old farmhouse in northeastern Indiana.
