Drifa’s Leap provides a fair and transparent process for order cancellations, returns, and refunds. This policy outlines the rights and responsibilities of buyers and sellers in these transactions.
Order Unavailable or Canceled by Seller
If an item cannot be shipped for any reason, or the seller must cancel the order, the buyer will be refunded the full purchase amount including shipping. The seller’s account will be charged the payment processing fee (Stripe/PayPal) from the original transaction.
Seller-Approved Returns
If a seller allows returns and the buyer returns the item in accordance with the seller’s stated return policy, the seller must initiate a refund once the item is received.
If the return is due to seller error, the buyer will be refunded the full purchase price including shipping.
If the return is not due to seller error, the buyer will be refunded the purchase price only, and original shipping charges will not be refunded if the item has already shipped.
The seller’s account will be charged the payment processing fee from the original transaction.
Refunds at Buyer’s Request (No Seller Error)
If a refund is issued at the buyer’s request for reasons not related to seller error, the refund will be for the purchase amount minus the payment processing fee from the original transaction. Shipping costs will not be refunded if the item has already shipped.
Before Shipment
Buyers may request a refund before the item has shipped. If approved, the buyer will be refunded the full purchase amount including shipping, minus the payment processing fee from the original transaction.
Item Not as Described or Seller Error
If an order arrives damaged, incorrect, or not as described, the buyer must first contact the seller to resolve the issue. If the seller accepts responsibility, they may cover the cost of return shipping. Once the seller receives the returned item they will initiate the refund, the buyer will be refunded the full purchase amount including shipping. The seller’s account will be charged the payment processing fee from the original transaction.
Buyer-Initiated Returns (No Seller Error)
If the buyer wishes to return an item for reasons unrelated to seller error, returns are only permitted if the seller’s shop policy allows them. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping will not be refunded if the item has already shipped. Once the seller receives the item, they will initiate a refund for the purchase amount minus the payment processing fee from the original transaction.
Seller Responsibility – Sellers are responsible for ensuring that items are packaged securely and arrive in the condition described in the listing.
Insurance Coverage – Sellers are encouraged to purchase shipping insurance for all orders. If an insured package is damaged or lost in transit, the seller must file a claim with the carrier and provide any required documentation (e.g., photos of the damaged product, packaging, and shipping label).
Carrier Liability – If a carrier approves an insurance claim, the seller can refund or replace the buyer’s order without personal financial loss.
No Insurance – If a seller ships without insurance and the carrier denies liability, the seller remains responsible for resolving the issue with the buyer, which may include issuing a refund or replacement.
Missing or Lost Packages – If tracking does not confirm delivery and the package is lost:
Insured shipments: Seller must file a claim and refund or replace once the claim is approved.
Uninsured shipments: Seller must refund or replace at their own expense.
Tracking shows delivered: Drifa’s Leap will consider the order fulfilled; disputes will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Buyers must attempt to resolve refund or return requests directly with the seller before contacting Drifa’s Leap support.
If the seller does not respond or refuses a refund request in situations covered by this policy, buyers may escalate the request to Drifa’s Leap by providing documented evidence of communications with the seller.
Drifa’s Leap reserves the right to make the final decision in refund disputes.
All refunds, whether partial or full, are subject to the deduction of payment processing fees charged by Stripe or PayPal, unless the refund is due to a seller error or cancellation.
