The Medieval Skillet also called a Saucepan, is an open pot on tripod legs , a handy pouring spout, and a hollow, easy to grasp handle. The skillet is one of my personal favorite forms for cooking over the coals. The openness makes it easy to stir. This is a Medieval-style cookpot and is excellent for foods that need a lot of stirring. Good for sauces, honey candy, puddings, and much more.
It is glazed in a handsome food-safe dark glossy brown inside, the exterior is light green. It has tripod feet for good balance on an uneven surface. The Pulled handle is Medieval and a good height for grasping. The glossy glaze makes clean-up much easier than other surfaces.
Saucepans were found in many places in the Medieval world, my reference was "Pre-Industrial Utensils" from Rotterdam.
